CANTON -- Railroad and interstate access, proximity to the Capital City -- these have all been important to Canton winning the Nissan project.

But there are some intangibles as well that helped bring Nissan to Canton -- the hard work of the people there for example.

Hard work is nothing new to Canton residents. They've been working for years to build a better community and a stronger economy and to draw major industries to the area, beginning with the lumber operations 75 to 80 years ago.
