French Catamaran to Feature Electric Motor.(Brief Article)

Fort Lauderdale, FL-based Catamaran Company recently announced that French catamaran maker Lagoon is currently working to install a Solomon Technologies, Inc. (STI) Twin ST74 electric motor on its 2003 Lagoon 410 S2 catamaran model, making the vessel "the world's first production catamaran with electric motor technology." Upon completion in July, the company said the 47-foot multi-hull vessel, known as the "Waypoint," will undertake the "first trans-Atlantic electric motor crossing" from France, where it is currently being built.
