As he peered at Thursday's total lunar eclipse through a pair of long, hefty binoculars, Rick Hunter chuckled with glee.
"It doesn't get any better than this," the West Chester astronomy buff said.
Forecasts of cloudy skies and thunderstorms had dampened his expectations and those of other volunteers with the Cincinnati Observatory Center.
But although some clouds remained when the eclipse began about 10 p.m., they passed quickly enough for the 200 or so observers watching at the Mount Lookout observatory.
