The chemical industry park of Tianjin Economic Technological Development Area (TEDA) was established in 1996. It is located in the Hangu District of Tianjin. The park is the petrochemical base of TEDA and also an important component of Tianjin's chemical industry. It has a development space of 30 - 50 [km.sup.2] and Tianjin Soda Plant, Tianjin Chemical Plant and Tianjin Dagu Chemical Plant are located within the area.
