* Colle & McVoy Marketing Communications, Minneapolis, elects Jim Bergeson to chairman. Bergeson succeeds Al Hietala in the position and is CEO of the agency.

* Case Corp., Racine, Wis., agrees to acquire Tyler Industries, Benson, Minn. Tyler had sales of $66 million in 1997.
