HIGH POINT -- Communities in Schools of High Point awarded college scholarships totaling $9,100 to 14 seniors from Andrews and High Point Central high schools on Tuesday.

They were among 136 seniors recognized during a ceremony at High Point University. The students participated in the CIS 21st Century Scholars program, which aims to keep middle and high school students in school and focused on careers. They visit college campuses and job sites throughout the year.
