ARAPAHOE COUNTY -- The TV news helicopter for Denver's 7 crashed on ranch land Thursday after it failed to recover from a practice emergency maneuver.

The pilot, Paul Smith, was flown to Centennial Hospital to be treated for a head injury and a cut on his face.
