Singapore -- The Asia/Pacific PC market's growth rate outpaced the worldwide industry in 2002. PC shipments in Asia/Pacific reached 21.7 million units in 2002, a' 8:6 percent increase from 2001, according to Dataquest Inc., a unit of Gartner, Inc. The worldwide PC market grew 3 percent in 2002.
