About 500 people congregated at the Oncenter Sunday morning for a Unitarian Universalist union celebration service.
The event was the first of its kind in Central New York in nearly 45 years.
Although some came from as far away as Rochester, Ithaca and Watertown, most were members of the four local Unitarian Universalist churches - one in Syracuse, one in DeWitt, one in Central Square and the fourth in Auburn.
