Opposition Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson was endorsed yesterday by leaders of various opposition groups as presidential candidate in the May 2004, elections at a meeting at the Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan.
The endorsement was made "to give a face to the opposition," the leaders said.
Reacting to the endorsement, Lacson said the opposition must adopt only one official candidate in the coming presidential elections to meet the administration bet head-on.
