An Onondaga County Court jury deliberated only about three hours Wednesday before finding Sekou Smith guilty of raping and sodomizing a 9-year-old girl last September.

The girl was carried from her home and sexually assaulted in the back yard.

Smith showed no reaction to the verdict. He immediately was handcuffed in the courtroom as the jurors were asked if they agreed with the verdict as announced by the foreman.
