Audi Names New Concept Car after Colorado's Pikes Peak.

Apr. 24--Audi, the luxury arm of Volkswagen, has developed a concept car that takes its name from Pikes Peak, the 14,110-foot mountain rising out of the plain just west of Colorado Springs.

The 500-horsepower Audi Pikes Peak quattro, with 20-inch wheels and able to reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, might be the first vehicle to be named for an icon closely associated with Colorado Springs.
