Minnesota Pollution Official Says Oil Spill Cleanup Finished on Earth Day.

Apr. 23--The cleanup of about 5,500 gallons of crude oil that leaked from an underground pipeline near Trail, Minn. was completed Tuesday with little damage done, said Dan Olson, spokesman for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency office in Detroit Lakes.

"It's a pretty remote area," Olson said of the site just northwest of Trail, which is about 40 miles east of Crookston. The oil spilled from the underground pipeline in a "seasonal wetland," he said.
