History and Background

Mari Gas Field is located at Daharki, District Ghotki, Sindh, approximately 97 km North East of Sukkur. Esso Eastern Incorporated discovered this field in 1957 with the drilling of Mari X-I and found gas at a depth of 2300 feet in the lower Kirthar Zone B limestone formation.
