Oldman river, c.250 mi (400 km) long, rising in the Rocky Mts., SW Alta., Canada, and flowing generally E past Lethbridge to join the Bow River W of Medicine Hat and form the South Saskatchewan River. The Belly River is its chief tributary. The Oldman flows through a farming region; wheat and sugar beets are the main crops.
