Lycophron , fl. early 3d cent. BC, b. Chalcis, Alexandrian Greek poet, one of the Pleiad . His only extant poem Cassandra or Alexandra, is an obscure and difficult work in iambic verse. In ancient times his tragedies were highly esteemed.
