Louisiana Tech University

Louisiana Tech University at Ruston; coeducational; state supported; chartered 1894, opened 1895 as an industrial institute. It became Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in 1921 and attained university status in 1970. Research facilities include the Institute for Micromanufacturing.
