Marcus Jastrow , 1829-1903, American rabbi and Talmudic scholar, b. Poland. He was a rabbi (1866-92) in Philadelphia, editor of the Talmud material of The Jewish Encyclopedia, and author of Dictionary of the Targumim, the Talmud Babli and Yerushalmi, and the Midrashic Literature (1903).
