Sir William Reynell Anson

Sir William Reynell Anson , 1843-1914, English jurist. He was a founder of the school of law at the Univ. of Oxford. From 1899 to his death he sat in Parliament as a member for Oxford. His Principles of the English Law of Contract (1879) and The Law and Custom of the Constitution (2 vol., 1886-92) are frequently consulted standard works.
