8 charred bodies in ongoing Kenya violence; some Kikuyu on the offensive

Six charred, slashed bodies were brought to the Nairobi mortuary Wednesday after a night of violence in the slums sparked by the death of an opposition legislator. Elsewhere, Kikuyus were on the offensive after suffering most of the violence that followed a disputed presidential vote.
In neighboring Ethiopia, where leaders were gathering for an African Union summit that starts Thursday, Jendayi Frazer, the top U.S. envoy for Africa, called the violence in Kenya's Rift Valley "clear ethnic cleansing" against the Kikuyu. She also said the United States was reviewing all ...
