tuberous (tuberose) (tew-ber-ŭs) adj. knobbed; having nodules or rounded swellings. t. sclerosis (epiloia, Bourneville's disease) a hereditary disorder in which the brain, eyes, skin, and other organs are studded with small plaques or tumours. Symptoms include epilepsy, mental retardation, and behavioural disorders.
